Christmas Card Update

Hmmm....learned something new this weekend. Lumpy Christmas cards have to be hand-cancelled...knew that...but they also cost more to send! Had to add a 17 cent stamp to each card! Also learned to turn the lumpy part away from the stamp area...makes it easier to cancel.

Good to know.

Hi Tamara!

I think we all learn this the hard way! Anymore, if I have embellished envelopes or placed little indulgences inside, I walk it into the Post Office and have it hand canceled. I have to admit that I even make sure they do it neatly as the affect the entire presentation.

Speaking of music, I am guest speaking this Friday AM for a Christian women's ministry. We are staging a mini concert of sorts. I am looking forward to it! It's good to hear that you are musical, too!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have been enjoying yours as well.

Christmas Blessings!

Hey Tamara! Nice to meet you! Thanks for visiting! So are you TAmara (like camera) or TaMAHra? (I'm the first one).

Tamara (jtcosby) - the roses are SO easy...and I'm an amateur, too!

Just take your piece of tissue paper and pleat it (like you're making a paper fan). Hold the ends firmly, but pleat loosely (don't press the pleats down). Then, starting at one end, loosely roll up the pleated paper. Allow it to bunch up and be uneven, as that looks more like a real rose. Then tuck your rose into the box with the loose edge against a "wall" of the box. Does that make sense? I'll try to post a tutorial in the next day or so.
